I want to follow up on my previous post “It Takes a Village” in which I first mentioned the Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ.) NAZ is a local collaboration of schools, organizations and institutions modeling their efforts after Geoffrey Canada and the Harlem Children’s Zone . They aim to align their resources and efforts to serve youth in North Minneapolis. Here is a fact sheet that offers more details about the important work they are doing.
We are expecting a full house to hear from Geoffrey Canada at the next Minnesota Meeting. Check back here next week for an update on the discussion.
